He did not appear. So I rang the other bell for the office coolie and asked him where Law was. He said "no come yet". I asked him to tell me when Law came. At 10 o'clock I rang Law's bell again twice and he did not appear. I again rang the other bell for the office coolie who came in and again said "no come yet". At 10 minutes past 10 I went to the Bank returning about 10.30 when I saw Law standing in the doorway. I asked him why he was late. He said that he had not been late. I then called in

the office coòlie and asked him when Mr. Law had come in. But he would give no answer. I then told Law to leave the room, he refused. I again told him to leave the room. Instead of doing so he pointed at me across the table and said "You think you are a Barrister, but you cannot question me, I can take care of myself". He then assumed a fighting attitude and dared me to strike him. It occurred to me

that that was what he wished me to do, so, though sorely tempted to do so, I refrained and instead I rang the bell for the office coolie and told him to fetch a policeman to turn Law out. Law then said "Well you cant turn me out of my room anyway and slowly shuffled into his own room and sht

shut the door.
